Johnny Depp sued for allegedly attacking crew member of movie set

Johnny Depp sued by 'City of Lies' crew member who says star physically verbally attacked him

- A film crew member says in a lawsuit that Johnny Depp twice punched him on the Los Angeles set of a movie about the killing of the Notorious B.I.G., and that he was sacked from the production when he refused to promise not to sue over the incident. Depp plays LAPD detective Russell Poole, who investigated the killing.

Brooks alleges that in April 2017, when the film was shooting under the title "Labyrinth" in and around the Barclay Hotel in downtown LA, he informed the director Brad Furman that an upcoming take featuring Depp would have to be the last outdoor shot of the night because of legal permits.

Depp is also now facing a lawsuit from two former bodyguards, Eugene Arreola and Miguel Sanchez, who allege that, in their assignment protecting Depp between 2016 and 2018, they "found themselves in situations that required more than what a bodyguard would be expected to do".

Brooks said he was sacked from the "City of Lies" production three days later after he refused to sign a release giving up his right to sue Depp over the incident. Brooks, according to the lawsuit, was concerned about Depp's behavior and was reaching out to the police officer when Depp screamed, "Who the (expletive) are you?"

Rocky claims Depp continued his tirade and his bodyguards then removed him from the area.

On July 29, an appeals court will hear the case, which represents one more chance for el-Mazboh to get a reduced sentence. The court reduced the penalty from 11 to 8 years in prison, further imposing a fine of EGP 10,700.

Brooks claims in the suit that Depp's breath "reeked of alcohol" during the alleged incident. "I don't give a f - k who you are and you can't tell me what to do!"

Brooks said he was sacked from the production three days later, when he refused to sign a release waiving his right to sue over the incident.

City Of Lies is due out on September 7. When Brooks tried to explain to Depp that his job as location manager is to make sure the film's production adheres to city permits, Depp reportedly fired back, "I don't give a fuck who you are and you can't tell me what to do".

Depp has not yet responded to the lawsuit.
