Halo Infinite revealed with stunning trailer at E3 2018

It is hard to deny the success of the PS4 and Sony, especially when compared to Microsoft and their Xbox One.

The teaser also shows a Warthog, the beloved offroad vehicle from previous "Halo" games, as well as a quartet of people. "Unveiled through a thrilling engine demo, Unannounced Halo Title will be a new Halo experience centered on the Master Chief that continues the current storyline", reads the Xbox Wire post. Investing a heap of finances into the Xbox One at this point would be a questionable move, with it being impossible for it to overtake the PS4.

This is the first big news for the division after Xbox in January promoted Matt Booty, who previously oversaw Minecraft, to lead all of Microsoft Studios. No exact details on any of them, but it's good to see them treating their biggest properties with forward thinking.

The trailer description on Youtube confirms what we heard from Microsoft a year ago: the next Halo is coming to Windows 10 as well as the Xbox. And that's about all we know so far. The game is slated for a release on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC.

Interestingly, Spencer also detailed that Microsoft's cloud engineers are building a game streaming network to unlock console-quality gaming on any device. While a bunch of exciting games were announced during the conference, it's clear that Microsoft is preparing for a brighter future beyond the Xbox One.
